About the Winner!
Challenged Champions Equestrian Center was established in 1997 as a non-profit charitable corporation. Using the horse and it’s environment, they provide equine assisted activities for people with a variety of special needs. The mission of the Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, Inc. is to enrich and change the lives of children and adults with special needs through facilitated equine activities. In 2017, CCEC served 382 participants with special needs in their program. They also offer a program FREE OF CHARGE for all veterans and active duty service personnel. 🇺🇸
Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) has been proven to show physical, social, cognitive and emotional improvement in participants. Some of the many benefits include; Improved balance, motor and trunk control, improved hand-eye coordination, improved speech, increased self-confidence and improved fine and gross motor skills.
CCEC is a PATH (Professional of Therapeutic Horsemanship) International Premier Accredited Center. As a PATH center, they are required to abide by guidelines, standards, policies and procedures they have established to provide a safe, reputable and beneficial program. Each instructor at CCEC is also PATH certified, and must complete continuing education hours annually.
